May 16, 2002…Fairfax, VA…TRAINING SOLUTIONS, Inc., a premier provider of professional development training and HR consulting services, today announced that it's president/CEO, C. Michael Ferraro, has been named to the Commonwealth of Virginia's Workforce Council.

According to Ferraro, "It's a great honor to be named to the Governor's Workforce Council. I am excited about the opportunity to bring my knowledge of workforce and youth issues in Northern Virginia to the state council."

The Virginia Workforce Council is made up of business and community leaders across the commonwealth. The council works to promote a well-trained, well-educated, highly skilled and qualified workforce that is actively engaged in lifelong learning across the state. The council also serves as the State Board for the federal Workforce Investment Act and is made up of 43 members, that include the Governor; four of the Governor's Cabinet Secretaries; state agency heads; labor; chief local elected officials; and four members of the Virginia General Assembly.

Ferraro is the founding president & CEO of TRAINING SOLUTIONS, Inc., a 7-year old company. The firm provides diverse development and training services for a variety of small and Fortune 1000 companies across the nation. In addition to serving on the Virginia Workforce Council, Ferraro is also a member of the Board of Directors for the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce and the Northern Virginia Technology Council; the Board of Trustees of the Northern Virginia Technology Council Foundation, the Workforce Investment Board of Northern Virginia, the George Mason University Business Advisory Board, and is a 1998 graduate of Leadership Fairfax.
