C. MICHAEL FERRAR0 IS APPOINTED TO ASTD'S PUBLIC POLICY COUNCIL
July 2004 -- C. Michael Ferraro, President/CEO of TRAINING SOLUTIONS, Inc., has been
appointed to the Public Policy Council of ASTD (American Society of Training and Development).
The Public Policy Council is a consortium of senior executives representing corporations
and educational institutions who provide a workplace-based perspective to assist ASTD in
developing and influencing public policies that support a high-skilled workforce.
ASTD's public policy agenda is focused on training tax credits, lifelong learning, e-learning, strategic
human capital management, and public-private partnerships.
ASTD is recognized for shaping national discussions on workforce development. ASTD's Policy
and Public Leadership team manages government relations activities. The council represents
ASTD's members' interests to policymakers through information dissemination, issue advocacy,
grassroots activities, and coalitions.

Ferraro is the founding president and CEO of TRAINING SOLUTIONS, Inc., an 9-year old Fairfax-based premier
