Ferraro, an industry expert in the publicly funded workforce system, will be speaking at two major conferences this year: the ASTD International Conference and Exposition and the SHRM Annual Conference and Exposition.

1. American Society of Training and Development (ASTD), International Conference and Exposition, June 2008, San Diego, California.
   
   Ferraro will be leading a session called Building a Working Partnership with the Publicly Funded Workforce System. Ferraro will share his experience on the State Workforce Board of Virginia, the local Workforce Board in Northern Virginia and his involvement with other publicly funded workforce programs. He will also discuss One-Stop Career centers, tax credits and training grants available to businesses to enhance employee skills. 2. Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Annual Conference and Exposition, June 2008, Chicago, Illinois.
   
   Ferraro will be leading a session called Workforce Readiness: Who is Responsible? Ferraro will share information from two recent studies on workforce readiness: Are They Really Ready for Work and the US Chamber of Commerce State by State K-12 Education Report Card.
